Hi, I’m Shooshig Susan Avakian — a proud Armenian-American, born and raised in Glendale, California. My life has been shaped by heritage, hardship, healing, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

I’ve worn many hats: teacher, entrepreneur, humanitarian, mother, survivor, and now Chief Operating Officer of Arev Consulting Services — a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping individuals and small businesses navigate life’s most complex systems with heart and human-centered support.

Rooted in my family’s generational resilience — descendants of Armenian Genocide survivors — I’ve carried forward a legacy of strength. But I’ve also lived through trauma and transformation: overcoming cancer, surviving abuse, navigating single motherhood, and rebuilding my life from scratch.

Through it all, I’ve found purpose in empowering others. Whether I’m helping someone access benefits, start a business, or tell their story — my goal is to remind people that they matter, their dreams are valid, and it's never too late to rise.
